When people ask me what my favorite donuts / donut shops are, Sidecar Doughnuts always comes up in the conversation.
Why? First is originality. They have some of the most unique flavors here like huckleberry, Saigon cinnamon crumb, basil eggs benedict, and Dubai Chocolate filled. And their famous butter & salt donut seems like a mistake, but the flavor combination is spot on, which is why it’s a fan favorite.
Second, and maybe most important, their quality. Every donut is a flavor explosion. There’s no weak links here. And the texture is fantastic. The outside is crisp (almost a crunch on the edges) and the inside is super soft. Whoever is overseeing the deep-frying time is a genius.
Finally – their design. Their boxes are well appointed and the logo design is top notch. It gives it an elevated feel, which leaves a lasting impression.
