Cartems Donuts

Cartems (pronounced Car•TEMs) is my absolute favorite donut shop in Vancouver. These rings of deliciousness are like a dream, which is uncanny because founder, Jordan Cash, said that the name of the shop was given to him in a dream while in South Korea.

This place shows up hard with unique flavors like their best-seller Earl Grey, the sweet and salty Honey Parmesan, Lemon Poppyseed, and their ever-popular Maple Bacon. And bonus points for sourcing fresh produce, dairy, and fruit  from local suppliers.

The first time I tried them, I was surprised how skinny the donuts were. But it’s great, because it’s not a mouthful of dough. Just a delicious treat, bursting with flavor.

Sadly, this place closed down in winter of 2025, after more than a decade of being open. It was truly one of my top 5 donut spots ever.
